Victor Bucarey

I’m Víctor Bucarey, an Industrial Civil Engineer with a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Chile. I’m currently an Assistant Professor at the University of O’Higgins. My work focuses on data-driven decision making, computational game theory, and large-scale optimization. These days, I’m exploring how learning methods can tackle hard combinatorial problems and how to design efficient algorithms that combine prediction with optimization. I also enjoy taking part in different science outreach projects to share research with a broader audience.
